My specialty and passion is designing interactive and social experiences around content and metadata. I hold a MS in Library Science from the top ranked School of Information and Library Science at UNC-Chapel Hill and am a Product Manager at Elsevier.
I am a member of the Scopus.com team, where I am working to improve the user-experience through pursuing tight and seemless integration of Scopus and Scopus data (APIs, etc.) into the STM literature research workflow.
I previously held roles in such varied institutions as a public library, academic libraries, a social OPAC vendor, and a print-on-demand do-it-yourself publisher.
Some of the topics explored on this blog are online identity, Library 2.0, intellectual freedom, and scholarly publishing.
Information on recent presentations I have given is located here. Please feel free to contact me about speaking engagements.
